A chic shoulder tote by B. makowsky, in rich pebbled leather.
I bought this handbag in the mushroom color. The actual color name starts with an "S." Since I have tried to submit two previous reviews on this bag with that actual color name and they have not posted, I thought the color name might be disqualifying my review. So I'll call it Mushroom.
I returned the bag to Amazon. One reason is because the color I received looked nothing like the website picture. The color I received looked like an ugly beige/puddy color.
In my personal opinion something about the shape and look of this bag was grotesque, almost laughably unattractive. I would have been embarrassed to carry it. Just for the record, I carry big purses and I love big purses. My not liking this bag had nothing to do with the size.
I bought the smaller size B. Makowsky double handle Shopper in Brandy (same style, different size) which measures 13"Wx9"Hx9"D, from another seller and I love it. Plenty big and much better looking than this tote. I think some reviewers have confused the Shopper with this larger Lisbon Tote.
I bought this at TJ Maxx in Vachetta this week for $152. It was $169 before the 10% new card discount. Also, this bag is sold on qvc as the "double handled shopping tote." The bag itself is fabulous!
I received this bag today and was so excited. It's beautiful and soft, but it's extremely large. I like large bags so I thought I could make this one work for me, but sadly I have to return it. I'm 5'2" and this one hung down past my hips. Just too big for me. Otherwise it's a great bag. Disappointing. If your tall this bag could be great for you.
I'll have to order a smaller version.
I have been searching for a Large handbag for 2 years and until I got this bag I have been less than happy with my other choices for one reason or another.
This bag has all the elements i have been searching for, I wanted a large,quality leather handbag that was casual for everyday use, it needed to have lots of separate pockets and a FULL divider that was attached to the bottom of the bag. Rolled handles that would fit comfortably on my shoulder and would not slip (most or just to short for me) and I wanted it to have a wide base (width).
This handbag has all of these things. As well as......... Great looks..Unbeatable hardware....and although I wanted a zip closure this magnetic closure and the fact that the mid section automatically folds over works great for me. The price was great! I payed just over 200.00 and free shipping! I purchased 3 other bags in the last year or so trying to get all these features. Costing me more than $1000. The others will be used but this is THE ONE!
someone commented this was not the best price, they are mistaken because this bag comes in 3 sizes what they compared was a smaller verison. As far as not alot of structure.... true,but i wanted a casual bag and if your worried about finding items inside you can purchase a bag organizer(must have)....."On the go" bag organizer by lori Greiner for under 20.00 this is great when swiching out handbags. you can get it at QVC.
I got this bag in brandy beautiful color. Now, my next problem is which of the other colors am I going to get.
I just saw this tote yesterday in Maize at Macy's for $178. Amazon's book and small appliance prices are great, however, I've noticited that handbags on Amazon.com are always considerably more expensive than major department stores. Check the department stores before you buy at Amazon.com.
